Christa picked up a pair of scissors at 8 years old and headed straight for her Barbie doll collection. After giving each doll their own unique haircut, she turned her attention to her brothers’ heads and began her career as a self-taught stylist. Many family haircuts later, Christa received formal training at the now defunct Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica. After graduation, she pointed her Volkswagen north and headed to San Francisco where she honed her cutting skills at notable salons such as Architects & Heroes and DiPietro Todd.

9 years and a fiercely loyal clientele later, Christa packed up her scissors and headed to New York City to explore the fashion and art scenes on the east coast. From her senior stylist position at Cutler Soho, she assisted on countless editorial photo shoots and became a backstage regular during fashion week.

Christa believes good hair can be easy and effortless. She is inspired by the personality of her clients, and works collaboratively to develop looks that compliment individual style and enhance natural hair textures. Christa moved to Richmond in 2020 and when she’s not doing hair she can be found swimming, estate sale-ing, fixing her old house, or hanging with her partner and their adorable terrier named Nacho.
